Introduction to Telecoms (2-day)

2 Days / 4 Live Online Sessions (0900-1230) / Technical Level: Level 1

Course Code: TY2600

Who Would Benefit?

This course has been designed for those who wish to build or expand their knowledge, whether new to telecommunications or currently working in the sector.

The main concepts of telecommunications are set out logically, with the technologies and techniques (as well as the abbreviations) used within the ever-evolving industry being explained in enough detail to build a comprehensive and relatively complete picture.

From fundamental concepts, we take a journey through digital fixed networks, datacomms and IP, mobile and cellular, and broadband networks. Each section builds on the concepts explained in earlier sections – making for an ideal flow that consolidates and maximises learning.

Although we don’t undertake a deep-dive into specific protocols and procedures, there is ample scope for questions and expansion on topics of specific interest – therefore the course is equally applicable to all levels and technical backgrounds.
