Executive Judgement Under Pressure

Course Code:

Detalhes do curso

Duration: 1 Day (+ Pre & Post Workshop Sessions)

Description

A decision-making workshop for emerging senior leaders

Great leaders are often required to make critical decisions when the stakes are high, information is incomplete, and time is limited. This highly interactive workshop develops the judgement, critical thinking and decision-making skills needed to navigate complex business challenges with confidence. Based on a realistic executive-level scenario, participants are required to make an important decision before the workshop begins, then defend and reassess that decision through facilitated discussion and debate.

Why Attend?

Unlike traditional leadership training that focuses on knowledge and processes, this programme focuses on executive judgement. Participants explore how assumptions, organisational pressures, stakeholder interests and professional biases influence decision-making, and learn how successful leaders identify opportunities and solutions that others may overlook.

Key Learning Outcomes

Participants will learn how to:

  • Make effective decisions under pressure
  • Recognise hidden assumptions and false choices
  • Balance competing stakeholder interests
  • Challenge conventional thinking
  • Communicate and defend difficult decisions
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately
  • Strengthen executive judgement in uncertain environments

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is ideal for:

  • High-potential managers
  • Future leaders and leadership development cohorts
  • Senior managers preparing for executive roles
  • Graduate fast-track programmes
  • Consultants and advisers
  • Technical, operational, commercial and finance professionals moving into broader leadership positions

Programme Format

The programme combines approximately one hour of pre-work with a highly interactive, facilitator-led workshop lasting around half a day. Designed for groups of 8 to 35 participants, the format encourages open discussion, diverse perspectives and meaningful reflection.

The Result

Participants leave with greater self-awareness, stronger critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of how effective leaders approach complex decisions when there is no obvious right answer. The experience is designed to be challenging, memorable and directly relevant to real-world leadership situations.

Because effective leadership is not always about having the answer. Sometimes it's about asking a better question.
