LTE and 5G Mission Critical Communications

  Course Code: LT2601

Course Details

Description

This two-day course provides a comprehensive overview of mission critical communications across LTE and emerging 5G technologies, equipping participants with the knowledge needed to design, deploy, and support resilient public safety networks.

It begins with the requirements and challenges of mission critical systems before building a strong foundation in LTE architecture, radio interfaces, and core technologies, while introducing key 5G concepts and evolution paths throughout.

The course then explores essential service enablers such as IMS, multicast/broadcast services, and group communications, before diving into mission critical applications including MCPTT, MCVideo, and MCData. Interworking with legacy systems (such as LMR) is also covered, ensuring a complete end-to-end perspective.

With 5G elements integrated across the syllabus, the course is designed to help teams strengthen their understanding of LTE capabilities while preparing to exploit and evolve toward 5G-enabled mission critical services.
